Method of exercise

In the case of flat feet, the method of sports training is as follows:

The Load

The load is determined by gauged springs. Stretching of springs is 10 cm and at the end of the amplitude the resistance equals 1,5 kg and/or 3,5 kg.
When two springs are used, the load equals 5 kg and/or 7 kg.
On the "cube" (B) there is the spring holder (15) with three small openings and the regulator (5) with three grades for establishing of the spring pre-load.
E.g. if the spring is attached to the third grade the pre-load will equal 0,75 kg and/or 1,75 kg.

Switching on of the bulb

As indicators of extreme amplitude of movements there are the contact plates which close the electric circuit.
Ref. V1 - On girder (1) mobile clip bears the contact plate (10). The clip is adjusted so that the grab (2) closes the electric circuit at the extreme amplitude point and switches on the light bulb (7).
Ref. V2, V3, V4 - The clip (9) with the contact plate moves so that the ring (4) closes the electric circuit and switches on the light bulb (7).
Each not switching on the light bulb means that the full amplitude of the movements was not reached.
The bulb feeds by 4,5 V battery (6).

NOTE

Exercises are performed while in the sitting position.
In order to adopt the movement itself, it is necessary to perform the beginning exercises without the load until the full amplitude of the movement is reached and the movement along the precisely established path is accomplished.
With beginners (or children), at first, it is necessary to help by guiding with one hand the movement of the foot (especially V3 and V4) and by holding the knee with the other hand so that the knee does not move left-right.
The height of the seat and the slope of the lower leg in regard to the Device is to be determined individually.

Tightening of the belt: if the belt is not sufficiently tight a small wooden part (14) is used by pushing it down along the axle (11) following the grove and is stuck between the belt and the pedal base.

It is not seldom that the toes can not be bent (ref. V1). It is necessary to bring them into function by passive and active stretching.
